Department Of Electronics & Communication Engineering
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2008. The major objective of the department is to impart high-quality education to improve the academic skills of women students in gaining state of art knowledge in the area of Electronics and Communications to meet the needs of industry.
The Department has good infrastructure with spacious classrooms, well equipped laboratories, seminar hall, and staff room with individual staff cabins, HOD chamber, department library, centralized internet centre and R & D centre.
The department is equipped not only with well-established laboratories with advanced software and hardware and also has ARC (Applied Robot Control) Lab, in collaboration with the German center for advanced studies and European center for Mechatronics in order to help the students to develop the technical skills needed to bridge the gap between industry and academia. Malineni Lakshmaiah Womens Engineering College is the one and only womens engineering college having ARC lab in association with APSSDC.
The department has 150 computers, installed with the required software (MENTOR GRAPHICS TOOLS, MATLAB, TASM, XILINX, MULTISIM etc.,)
The department established a students association SPICE (Society of Professional Innovative Communication Engineers) to promote and conduct various co-curricular and Extra-curricular events like technical presentations, workshops, fests etc.
The department has ISTE/IETE professional students forums and SPARKS an IoT student club to help the students in co-curricular activities like technical presentations, workshops, seminars, Training programs etc.
The department Library contains 201 books. During these 13 years of college history, the students of ECE have performed well in their academics by securing good pass percentage and owning good corporate jobs.
The ECE department is led under the headship of Dr. P.V.L. Suvarchala who has a vast teaching experience of 21 years since 2020.
